The National Auctioneers Association hosted the 57th International Auctioneers Conference and Show July 10-15th, 2006 in Orlando, FL. It featured more than 70 educational seminars, including those on technology, Internet auctions, selling real estate at auction, building a work team, and more. The Conference also featured marketing awards events, an International Auctioneer Championship contest and other highlights.

Auctions are a growing part of the U.S. economy. Gross sales revenues from auctions by NAA members in the first quarter of 2006 increased 5.7% over the same time period one year ago, a study by the NAA has found. If this trend continues, this will translate into approximately $254.1 billion total revenue for 2006 for the entire auction industry, up from $240.2 billion in 2005, a 5.8% increase.
