Dublin, OH – The Ohio Auctioneers Association (OAA) is pleased to announce that Auctioneer Michael Hoffman of Pickerington, Ohio has been elected as a member of the Association’s Board of Directors at the OAA Winter Convention held in Dublin, Ohio.

Approximately 200 auctioneers and guests turned out for the OAA Annual Convention, January 13-15, 2007, in Dublin, Ohio. Highlights of the convention included auction and real estate educational sessions, the annual election of the OAA officer’s and directors and the induction of newly named members to OAA’s Hall of Fame.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to join the Board of Directors of OAA,” Hoffman said. “It’s always great to be recognized by your peers, and I will do everything I can to be a good steward of the trust that has been placed in me.”

Hoffman went on to say that he was grateful for the opportunity to serve on the board of directors, and hopes to be able to connect with even more auctioneers throughout his term.

The board of directors exercises governing authority over the Association and consists of 13 elected members. Under direction of the newly elected president Doug Walton, the OAA will follow the theme “A Quest for Excellence.”

Hoffman is president of Michael Hoffman & Associates, a company that offers a variety of real estate and auction services in Ohio, including traditional real estate listings and buyer representation, real estate auctions, estate auctions, business liquidations, personal property appraisals and fund-raising auction events.

The OAA is a non-profit organization, founded in 1942.
